Tech 's UK classes are held in the historic wool town of Painswick,
in the heart of the scenic Cotswold Hills. The town, much of which
has been carefully preserved, boasts some of the oldest buildings
in England.
The surrounding countryside contains large areas of National Trust
woodland, and is ideal for bird-watchers and wildlife enthusiasts.
Walkers
are also well-catered for, with the Cotswold Way running through the
middle of the town. Several picturesque villages, including Edge,
Sheepscombe and Slad (home of the late Laurie Lee), are within strolling
distance. Painswick is well served by hotels, guest houses and bed
& breakfasts. The standard of accommodation and food is high and the
rates are very reasonable.
